Week 1 Diary Posts

Day 1

Well, it's been an interesting first day here at the Big Brother house. The twist was somewhat of a surprise and also disappointing. I got paired up with Kenny, who has been pretty unhelpful so far and has yet to participate in the HoH competition. This is frustrating, though getting HoH right off the bat is something I want to stay away from, I don't like losing regardless.

So far, I've managed to talk to Aaron, Steve, and Andrew. I have talked to Aaron and Andrew the most and really enjoy their company. I get good vibes from both of them and look forward to strategizing with them in the future. I want to look at making a 3 way alliance and those two are good candidates. Aaron seems a little laid back and I don't think has his head completely in the game, but he does seem loyal and honest. Meanwhile Andrew strikes me as competitive and a good wing man, plus the fact that those two are partners this week and seem to communicate well has me thinking in that direction.

For now, though, I'm going to sit back, see who wins HoH, and see who is nominated first. I am worried about being nominated because of Kenny's inactivity early on, in which case I would throw Kenny under the bus. Is it really that hard to check in and right a few words? He's really annoying me and I hope to find a step when I log on tomorrow morning.

I haven't talked to many others yet, but have gotten reports from Andrew and my own perceptions, and I'm a little wary of some of the girls. I have a ad feeling something big may be cooking but I'm not 100% sure.

For now, I'm enjoying my first ever ORG and keeping my eyes open on everyone around me.

Nice. Sorry about Kenny though. I've already told many people, that if I see people consistently inactive I will change partners to pair inactives together.

Day 2 Post

Well day 2 has come and gone and with it came the results of the first HoH competition. It was won by Evan and Kelly with an unholy 660 steps or something. Kenny never did show up for it, citing his PC was down for the day and he didn't know. I'll let him slide for now, but he's definitely off my partner short list for the future and I'll keep an eye on him as well.

Tonight I got the opportunity to gather with the majority of my fellow housemates to chat. Everyone is basically on friendly terms now and it is hard to imagine voting people out. However, I realize that before long I'm going to have to start thinking strategically. My worry is that I start playing the strategy card way too early and get blindsided by someone or way too late and I end up out on my own. I want to build an alliance to give myself a security blanket.

I think I'm most nervous because I won't be shocked if Kenny and I go up for eviction. In any case, I'm going to go all out for PoV and if I end up being a nominee, I'll have to do whatever I can to stay. I think I can survive a vote against Kenny, who hasn't communicated with anyone. Right now I'm hoping to get to know everyone and become friendly with the group, and then see who is up for a solid alliance.

It's going to be tough to sleep tonight with nominations looming tomorrow, but I think I'll live.

Day 3 Post

Well today, as suspected, I was nominated with Kenny, the other pair being nominated was Mary and Dynasti. It was apparent that Evan and Kelly gave out keys based on fihsing order in the first HoH, which meant a few steps was all that myself and Kenny neededm go figure.

In any case, I decided to spring for help a little bit in the upcoming future. First, I decided to do the PoV competition for myself and Kenny, knowing for a fact that I will be there and ready to perform. Second I picked Andrew and Aaron to compete on the condition that, if they win, they would use PoV on myself and Kenny.

Aaron and Andrew accepted and Aaron will be competing tomorrow. I am disappointed that I had to make a desperation move so early in the game, but it had to be done. If i can get by this week, then I will be good to go.

Tonight I played a couple of mini-ORGs with the group tonight. It gave me a chance to socialize more and be in the group. Still, I feel outside of the group a little bit. I still feel closest to Andrew and Aaron. Everyone else I'm pretty cool with. A couple other people who I look to talk more with in the next couple days are Cat, Andii, and Mary. These three are people that seem sensible enough and that I may want to ally with in the future. I particularly feel bad for Cat, who I think got upset at Justin in the chat room tonight with somethign sexual that he said, but I'm not exactly sure.

For now, I have to concentrate on winning tomorrow and saving myself from elimination. If Aaron is being honest with me, I have a 1/3 chance to come off the block. We'll see how the PoV unfolds and go from there.

Day 4 Post

Well, I failed to win PoV today, Evan won it and as expected, kept the nominees as is. That means I needed to bail myself out before the votes are due. I wanted to get assurance from people that they were on my side and I got that from people like Aaron, Andrew, Steve, and Andii. I also got the general impression that I'm more well liked than Dynasti and Mary, so that makes feel comfortable.

Something that made me feel suspicious today was when chatting tonight, Rhonda wanted me to leave the room so she could talk to me. Rhonda has been a little abrasive at times and seems to have a bit of an attitude. At the same time, she seems liek a hardcore competitior, while others seem like they don't have there heads 100% in the game as of yet.

As for me, it's simply a matter of waiting. This may be my final diary post as a member in the game but I certainly hope that I can get past this vote and start things over again with the next HoH competition.
