Why on Earth possessed me to win this HOH? Sure, I'm safe. But, I'm so out of the loop on the politics of these people, that one bad move and I've screwed my game up tremendously.

I really don't get what Molly's deal is. I had no intention of even putting her up this week. But, she's convinced that it's her fate and becomes a grade A ass. So, she's making it awfully compelling to stick her up there.

Ok, last night was a whirlwind and after a good nights sleep and chance to get a level head here's some commentary.
Before the HOH challenge happened there was round 1 of the Justin and Molly show. They were just going at each other with reckless abandon. So, I figured I'd strike up a conversation with Shelby; seeing as how we've not really spoken much and I didn't want to pay attention to all of that drama.
We both appreciated that we weren't joining in on the crazy fest in the chat and he struck up an alliance proposal. Here we go again with people I barely know asking for alliances. And, his was a final 2 pact. This adds another level of discomfort because, I don't go around promising final 2s/3s/4s to everyone. I find people and stick with them. And, I dunno if he could totally be playing me. Anywho, I agree with it, because I think I could work well with Shelby down the road, and because I really don't have any connections with anyone; so might as well try forging some now.
Then the HOH starts up, and like a dummy, I win. Sure, I'm safe, but now I have to play all of the politics, and it makes me more known than previously in this house. And, of course the "Am I safe?", and "Do you want to work together?" IM's start popping up. I already knew that I was picking Mike to be my co-HOH, I would like to take this chance to get to know him better and figure out where his head is in this game.
Then, the Molly show starts up again. I had 4 people ask me to pick them as HOH or to pick first, so I couldn't please them all and I like Andii so I let her go first. She asks who would be safe, and I told her Shelby. Then, I told her I'd be fine with Evan picking next, because I wanted him out of my ear, lol. He asks who my friends are...and I really don't have any in the house, so I say Andrew, because I do like him as well. So, Evan picks Andrew.
And, Molly takes this as a huge conspiracy theory against her. Because she did mention to me that she wanted to be paired with Andrew. Now, she obviously knew that she'd be a likely nominee and the Andrew could be her saving grace, but instead of saying that out loud, she goes on and on about how Andii and Andrew have screwed her over, and how I'm playing right into their hands.
Whatever, let her think what she wants. I'm taking this one day at a time and will deal with the others in due time. Because, I realize that I'm way down the totem poll in a lot of people's alliance plans. But, I think this kind of flexibility will help me out in the game. Because, I realistically see only one more week of partners after this one. So, if I can survive that and enter the individual stage still out of the loop of most alliance talks, I can work a pretty decent game from there.

So, Mike and I chose Rhonda/Steve because we really didn't know where Steve's head was in the game. We're (well, I certainly am) hoping that the inactives leave this week.
